Getting Involved - HELPING HANDS ACROSS AMERICA
Please support our local effort to help our neighbors in need.
Here's how it works:
- From October 22nd - November 12th, customers who stop by the University Dining Hall will have the opportunity to participate in this community outreach initiative, which is designed to help your neighbors in need by collecting and donating non-perishable food items. Our team will facilitate the donations to a local charity. Our chosen charity is The Center for Women and Families, which has being helping victims of domestic violence, sexual violence and economic hardship since 1912.
- By taking part in this event, everyone will be helping to stop hunger in our community and maybe even set a Guinness World Record on November 12th for the Largest Food Drive.
ways to participate
- Drop off your food or cash donations at the designated location at the University Dining Hall*. We will take it from there!
* This community outreach initiative is also taking place at Cafe Ogle Food Court.
